Pearl Ties

During Angharad’s years as an actress, she worked on many historical productions. Her favourite period for costume and jewellery is the 18th century. This collection is inspired by many pieces she was lucky enough to wear.

The freshwater pearls in this collection are of the highest quality and natural colour. A grain of sand or an irritant lodges in the mantle of a freshwater mussel. To protect itself the creature secretes layers around the impurity. This eventually forms into a pearl. Traditionally pearls are associated with honesty and integrity and help us to focus on the simple things in life.
